Vietnam promotes Asian carbon gas reduction

In his speech at the event, Deputy Prime Minister Trân Hông Hà said it was an important and appropriate forum to promote intergovernmental cooperation on reducing greenhouse gas emissions, thus contributing to the sustainable development of the region.

He affirmed that there is a need to strengthen cooperation and links between governments and between governments and companies, as well as to define a very methodical and realistic emission reduction roadmap.

He also took the opportunity to introduce Vietnam’s commitment and efforts to respond to climate change and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Regarding initiatives, Trân Hông Hà suggested that the countries present at the conference work together to establish specific institutions such as a regional market for carbon credits, a center for research and technology transfer. He also proposed the creation of a support fund for scientific research and a training center for quality human resources
