British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak believes that prolonging the conflict in Ukraine is beneficial for Russia. The British newspaper Telegraph writes about this, citing a representative of the Prime Minister.
“He said that since he became prime minister, he had reconsidered the UK approach and came to the conclusion that prolonging the conflict would only benefit Russia, so he decided that there was an opportunity to accelerate UK support (on Ukraine) with close cooperation with our allies to give Ukraine the best chance of success and make the most of the window of opportunity, ” said a spokesman for the head of the British government.
Sunak’s “new strategy” also calls for “increased diplomatic efforts” and planning with the government of Ukraine to rebuild the country after the end of the conflict.
As EADaily reported , British Defense Secretary Ben Wallace said that British Challenger 2 tanks could arrive on the front lines in Ukraine before the summer, in May or closer to Easter.
