Colombia will meet South Korea and Japan in international friendlies next month, the South American country’s football federation said on Monday.
The Cafeteros will face South Korea at a yet-to-be-determined venue on March 24 and Japan in Osaka four days later, the federation said in a statement.
It added that the matches would form part of the team’s preparations for South America’s 2026 World Cup qualifiers, due to begin later this year.
Colombia missed a place at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar after finishing sixth in the 10-team South American qualifying tournament, one point shy of a playoff spot.
The Cafeteros are currently 17th in the FIFA rankings, while Japan are 20th and South Korea 25th.
