The two-day tournament witnessed intense battles on the field, with Japan’s men and women ultimately prevailing.
The men’s tournament showcased Japan’s resilience as they beat Archrival Hong Kong China with a nail-biting 12-10 victory in the final. This remarkable feat marked a stunning turnaround for the Japanese team, who had lost to China in the early stages of the tournament.
In the women’s tournament, the Japanese team exhibited determination, culminating in a hard-fought victory that went down to the buzzer against a very strong China team, with a final score of 14-12. The third-place positions were secured by the host nation, South Korea, in the men’s category and Thailand in the women’s.
